Not a Chennai guy but my understanding is that, that part of the stadium does not have permission from the Municipality which gives permission for constructions. Quite beweldering that they haven't been able to sort it out since so many fans would be interested in purchasing tickets

SC Has Asked TNCA To Demolish Those 3 Stands Citing Regulation Violations. This Was Ordered 4 Years Ago. Nothing Has Happened Since.

The Distance Between Those Stands And Adjoint Building (Here It Is Madras Cricket Club GYM) Must Be 8m Atleast. But Distance Between GYM And Stands Are 5.4m.
