A captain is as good as his team.

There were a lot of people here who back in the day during RCB’s bad form were massively trolling the former RCB skipper on his “captaincy”. I hope such people can do a retrospection of the most successful teams’ current form..

Everyone knows that the most successful teams' skipper did play a major part in MI's success throughout the years. Honestly, Virat did horrible captaincy with RCB and he didn't even utilize his players as much as other teams did. But for India, it was okay.

Even Rohit itself has stated that a captain is good as his team. Regarding the former skipper of RCB, and the team management, never backed their players as much as MI & CSK did throughout the years. Many teams only try to get top form players, whom were backed and groomed by other franchises.

This season can't take away anything from both CSK & MI, since they have achieved a lot.

Another thing is that many are barking in the social media that MI were able to win only due to Pandya, Bumrah & others. Yes that is also true but MI was the reason for their rise as well. They scouted them and backed them. Even this season, they have found some new gems in Tilak, Brevis and they will go on to play for MI in coming years.

MI was successful due to that crap Auction rule Right to Match if that was not applicable They would have not got many of their Ex Players in Auctions in Past.

But as far as Scouting is concerned, MI is best among all Teams they find gems of players every year, this tym round too Tilak Verma & Shokeen has been great finds.

And I will say KKR is far behind on this. They never Give Confidence to young players.. Venkatesh iyer and varun wasn,t young when they Made there Names Big.

Irony is KKR gifts their good players to other Teams first SKY now Gill, Rahul Tripathi, Lockie & Kuldeep Yadav.

RTM was only a small factor . Even if there wasn't RTM then also they would have retained Rohit-Bumrah-Hardik and SKY, Ishan from auction.

Other thing is that, in both 2019&20, players who were traded was top performers. QDK in both 2019&20 & then Trent Boult in 2020. Therefore, their ex-players weren't the only one who made them win. IMO, MI should have used RTM to retain Buttler in 2018😛 (not that I don't like Pollard) but still Pollard is not believable everytime and he is weak against a wide line. Now I don't expect them to retain Pollard for next season.

This year, in the auction, they were completely blind. Going after Ishan was sure but I didn't expect this much and the pressure is surely on Ishan. Then they wanted to unleash thath Bumrah-Archer partnership and let's hope they will breathe fire next year😉. If Archer comes back in old form, then MI must be feared since this year, majority of the defeats are due to poor bowling and batting was reaching 150, 160, 170 even without much contributions from top 2.
