I don't think IPL will have a Pune based team in the near future. 1 state 1 team rule is necessary for both the team owners as well for the audience and broadcasters.

Teams for North Eastern states and Kerala will be a priority.

That is only true if BCCI would consider splitting the matches for MI between Wankhede and MCA Stadium, else there is no point keeping one of the Metropolitan city away from IPL fever, and MCA stadium was each time packed whenever there has been a match, lets see what future brings in

The new franchises will participate in IPL from 2022 season onwards subject to the bidders completing the post-bid formalities as specified in the ITT document.

Ganguly 'not surprised' by bidding numbers for new IPL teams

Dubai [UAE], October 25 (ANI): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly on Monday said he was not surprised by the bidding numbers which were submitted by the various interested parties for the new franchises.
