Andrew Tye becomes first bowler to take hat-trick on IPL debut

This is the first time in IPL that a bowler on debut has taken a hat-trick. Tye finished his four over with five wickets for 17 runs. He could have had his sixth wicket if Ravindra Jaedja hadn’t dropped Rahul Chahar off the final ball of the innings.

One-time cash awards given out to five former India Women cricketers

The BCCI presented the five former players with the one-time cash award ahead of the IPL 2017 game betwen Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mumbai on Wednesday (April 13).

Sangita Dabir, Arundhati Ghosh, Behroze Edulji, Sunita Singh and Vrinda Bhagat were the players to receive the bonus. While Dabir and Ghosh were awarded a cheque of INR 25 Lakh (250000) each, Edulji, Singh and Bhagat received INT 15 Lakh each. The awards were doled out based on the number of matches played for the country.

DD vs KXIP: Raftaar, Parineeti Chopra, Guru Randhawa to headline IPL 10 opening ceremony in Delhi

Rapper Dilin Nair aka Raftaar and Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra will be headlining the New Delhi leg of the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) opening ceremony at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium.

Both these stars will be joined by popular Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa in the 20-minute opening ceremony before Delhi Daredevils take on Kings XI Punjab.
