Look at Raina's team selection!! He used up all 4 foreigner slots for batsmen(Roy, Finch, McC, Smith), and adding Raina tand Dinesh Karthik, they managed to have a batting lineup that's almost a bit redundant for a t20!! Ok, so far so good, because that could be forgiven if he had Indian first team bowlers up his sleeve. But Bam! Look at his bowling attack. Praveen Kumar, Dhaval Kulkarni and Manpreet Gony, Shivil Kaushik and jakati; you mean, seriously thats all? No wonder they went wicketless!!

Raina didn't learn a single thing about captaincy while playing under Dhoni for so many years..

Their owner is also stupid, when he knew Dale Steyn would miss the entire season, why go buy Jason Roy when u already have big foreign hitters in Finch, McCullum and Dwayne Smith.
I was expecting them to go all out for at least one of Rabada, Pat Cummings or Boult, it wasn't the case they didn't have good bowlers to grab in the last auction.

Some people hv wrong assumptions that batsman gives you win. they forget that if you cannot take wickets theb opposition can chase down any target

I also think Gujarat Lions' owner Keshav Bansal interferes too much with team activities. He tries to imitate SRK, in terms of being a flamboyant owner, but one thing with SRK is never interferes with team management or which players to buy (maybe he wanted only Yusuf Pathan to play for KKR) - he never even attends auctions for quite some years.
SRK knows running cricket is not his forte, so he concentrates on promoting the team which he specialises in.

Keshav Bansal is just 26 year old, who has been given the reins of an empire setup by his father, he is young and wants to be headlines all the time, but he should learn from SRK that concentrate on the areas he excels, and cricket is not one of those areas..

Maxwell asked for timeout. Believe 1st timeout belongs to batting side. Never saw any batsman asking for it. It's almost mandatory if a wicket falls in 6-9 overs.
