If certain websites take up too much of your day, you can simply block them using browser extensions. With Firefox, you can get the LeechBlock extension from https: // addons.mozilla.org. With Leech-Block , you can specify upto six 'sets' of websites to block, with different times and days on which to block each set.

There's a lockdown feature, using which you can immediately block a website for a specified duration. Finally, it can also keep track of the amount of time you spent browsing the sites in each set.

If you're using Google Chrome, you can get 'Website Blocker' or 'Chome Nanny' from https: //chrome. google.com/ extensions. They work similarly, although they do not have as many features as LeechBlock.
