I have 9₹ Main balance and recharged 99₹ plan but cant send sms

I don’t have any active pack on my VI sim but have main balance of Rs.35, shall I go ahead and recharge with Rs.99 to send Port Out sms? The 99 plan on Vi app says No outgoing sms.

I can't confirm bro only @iDJ confirmed they can able to send sms on ₹99 smart recharge other than that in social media , my neighbouring circle no confirmation regarding sms facility even i tried my grandfather number message sending failed only .. so in my opinion if you really need to port out on safer side recharge with minimum unlimited plan and then do port out

I don't think AVi will enable 1900 sms option facility in smart recharge near future seems and as so called Mr.Trai didn't specify any timeframe in their notification to telecom company

I don't know why and how my SMS service is working. I will check on the app whether some non smart plan or some complimentary pack is activated along with the ₹99 smart pack on my number.

VI still not enabled 1900 sms facility in recharge 49, 79 & 99. I checked my own number and my family numbers- where main balance 67, 53 & 117. but still sms sending fail. I think 128 plan voucher is the minimum sms sending voucher - if u have main balance.

They won't be enabling it, they had appealed in TDSAT against TRAI order and they won the appeal even. They are standing their ground that they are well within their rights to not provide SMS benefits in low denomination packs, since tariffs are under forbearance . And subscribers who need SMS can recharge with add on packs which provide SMS to their low denomination base packs.

TDSAT is the most corrupted Dept in Telecom. Not giving SMS service is one thing and NOT allowing PORTing to other network is entirely different thing.

Instead of using money to improve the network, VoId is wasting in useless branding and in Legal disputes.

TRAI must bring new method to get PORT code from online (MNP enabler / operator website) via OTP confirmation. But then these greedy operators will block incoming SMS as well.

It's already blocked on some operator. Not on Vi though. I recieved incoming SMS for around 20-25 days. Than I made the recharge. But they still state that incoming SMS would be blocked without recharge.
