Reliance Jio to launch more exciting offers after Summer Surprise rollback

NEW DELHI: Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio Infocomm will soon launch ‘more’ exciting offers including ultra-affordable data tariff to woo new subscribers as well as retain existing Jio Prime members.

“We are updating our tariff packs and will be soon introducing more exiting offers,” the Mumbai-based company’s official Website said.

The soon-to-be-launched tariff plans would be aimed to ward off any adverse impact on user addition due to the Jio Summer Surprise offer discontinuation after sector regulator Trai 's (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) intervention on April 6.

Incumbent telcos, who may have breathed a sigh of relief by the Trai's diktat, would need to brace for more such offers which could hurt their financials further, with industry debt already at Rs 4.85 lakh crore.
