I know bro. But they need to remove it. I know it stops people from acquiring multiple sims from freebie benefits but it's discouraging when other providers are acquiring customers without any charge.
Others? Even Jio is not charging but in some cases like local shops you need to pay 249 which includes 1 month recharge benefit. Which is still cheaper than other operators it also includes Jio Prime membership. Right now Jio is porting for free. So, no worries about that.

I have yesterday opted port to Jio first checked from local shops they said ₹249 including 1 month pack
Visited Jio store just yesterday and ported in January. Currently, first recharge amount they are providing is Rs 299 for 2GB per day data for a month and additional Rs 99 for Jio Prime. Both are mandatory. Similarly, port is also technically free and at home but Rs 99 is mandatory regardless of whether you opt for Postpaid or Prepaid sim.

I'm also purchased new Jio connection for 149 plan without paying anything additional for the prime membership
If you were a Jio customer. If you come back they give you one free month for porting back. This one must be some new offer.
