Why do they call it Tirunelveli Halwa? It's just wheat flour Halwa which we get everywhere bro. It's called Godhi Halwa here. Afaik, even Kerala is very well known for this.

I already did that bro. All i am asking is what's the reason for calling it Tirunelveli Halwa? It's also called Godhumai Halwa. Here again Godhumai refers to wheat flour. I asked because in Udupi/Karnataka they make Ash Gourd/Pumpkin Halwa and call it Kashi Halwa when i have never even heard of anyone from Kashi making it. So i felt this was also something like that?
Edit : Difference is it's made in samba wheat flour and not regular wheat flour. Other than that it's the same thing. Good to learn a new food fact
