But this is from my uncle's village home made not typically tastes which we get in shop ( in shop one tasted more sweety than sour bit this one tasted 88 percent sour also shop one more yellow colour)

I think we call this ಮಾಂಬಳ /maambala..it's made from pulp of rippenned local mango fruits...if needed we add some chilly powder and salt powder according to our taste..spread in some plastic sheets and dried in sun light...after fully dried we store in steel Box and keep inside fridges...it will last atleast for 6 months..

My grandmother brought it with her last week. It tastes good. But I personally like the jelly-like ones better.
