3 Number of double hundreds scored by Virat Kohli in Test cricket in 2016 – most by an Indian in a calendar year. Before him Vinod Kambli (in 1993), Rahul Dravid (2003), Sachin Tendulkar (2004), Virender Sehwag (2008) and Sachin Tendulkar (2010) had scored two double hundreds each.
