89 innings taken by Kohli to 4000 Test runs is the sixth fastest among the 14 Indians who reached the coveted landmark. The fastest to do it were Sunil Gavaskar and Virender Sehwag, both of whom took 81 innings.
136 by Vijay is the third highest by an opening batsman at Wankhede, after 205 by Sunil Gavaskar in 1978 and 147 by Virender Sehwag in 2002, both knocks coming against West Indies.
1112 runs by Kohli in 2016 in Tests is the most for an Indian captain in a year. He went past 1095 runs by Rahul Dravid in 2006. Four hundreds by him is the joint most for an Indian captain in a calendar year, along with Sachin Tendulkar (in 1997).
