Converting old hifi to 5.1

I have old Philips hi fi system of 1500 w with very good speakers.
Anyone have idea of how to convert it into 5.1 by altering the internals?

Even I am in need of such an idea. I am having 5 speakers and an woofer of Sony.....But don't know how to get 5.1 surround sound!!

In old models, woofer worked as Amp. I do not know which type of system you have and what are the ports available. Can you post some pics.
