I request that you never relocate the Jio Air Fiber connection. The relocation process is a total scam.
1. They will not relocate the same devices or connection.
2. They will close the old connection and ask you to purchase a new connection, and the validity of the old connection is given in a voucher after 90 days.
3. If you go for relocation, the app will ask you to pay ₹1000. After that, there will be KYC and the remaining amount for the plan. Once you pay, they will by default take a request for Jio Air Fiber Max; however, most locations do not have Air Fiber Max devices, and Jio engineers are also not trained for installation—except in metro cities like Mumbai and Delhi.
4. The ₹1000 is a non-refundable amount, which will only be used for a new connection, not for anything else.
I have requested a relocation, which has been my biggest mistake. I am living in Valsad, Gujarat, and since this is not a metro city, they don’t have the devices. Engineers are asking for payment again, but for ₹1000, I either have to forget about it or wait 15 days to submit a new request.
I have been using Jio Air Fiber for the last year and had never faced any issues, but for the last 15 days, I have been completely frustrated.
**Pro tip for all users**: If there is a 5G tower and good range inside your home, and you want to relocate, simply remove the device from the top and install it yourself. Don’t call support or anyone.
