The BCCI has asked manufacturer SG to deliver 72 pink balls by next week for India’s first-ever day night Test, to be held at the Eden Gardens from November 22.

The BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has already confirmed that SG pink balls will be used for the landmark game, leaving the manufacturer with very little room for error.

T20I: Bangladesh cricket team arrives in Delhi

Bangladesh cricket team on October 30 arrived in New Delhi for the T20I match against Team India. Bangladesh will be playing T20 Internationals in the national capital on November 03 and in Rajkot on November 07 and in Nagpur on November 10. The two Test matches will be played in Indore and Kolkata on November 14 and 22 respectively. India will host their first ever pink-ball Test at Eden Gardens in Kolkata from November 22.

India's first-ever Day-Night Test against Bangladesh is expected to begin at least an hour early than the usual 2.30 pm start, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) secretary Avishek Dalmiya said in Kolkata on Tuesday, October 29. The CAB is also trying its best to make it a full house in the 68,000-capacity stadium on all the five days by offering a daily ticket starting as low as Rs 50.

Speculations, however, were put to rest on Wednesday evening as DDCA officials confirmed that there was no question of moving Sunday’s fixture out of Delhi and it will go on as per schedule. “Yes we heard about the letter but there has been no such communication from BCCI’s end. In fact, we have been told to carry on with preparations for Sunday’s match. The broadcasters are set to arrive tomorrow (Thursday),” a DDCA official told Hindustan Times.

Promising to make the first-ever Day-Night Test a "fantastic event", BCCI president Sourav Ganguly on Thursday said he is "trying" to bring Sachin Tendulkar for the historic game. "We will make it a fantastic event. Work is on. In 3-4 days time I will be able to give you a complete list of what is happening," Ganguly told reporters at Eden Gardens. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Tuesday had agreed to play the second Test against India at Eden Gardens under lights and this will be the first Day-Night Test for both teams. The match is scheduled between November 22-26.
