Recently my cousin bought a new phone, Vivo Y51A. I checked the streaming quality on Prime Video. There is a change in size while streaming. Have a look.

But on my OnePlus 7, it's still the old settings. Why?

My app is on the latest version. Signed up for Beta version, thought it may help.
These streaming settings are determined by DRM & HDR screen certifications. You can compare stats from DRM info app for both phones. Generally Widevine L1 certification is recommended for best streaming. In iphones the data consumption limit even higher like approx 5 GB/hr at best setting

Those stats are same on both devices. I checked it by downloading a app. Half a gig is a lot

.
Like @Prithi Deb has pointed out, could a slight difference between the two phones' display resolutions, screen sizes, and aspect ratios be a factor?

Vivo Y51A comes with a slightly different screen resolution, a little larger screen, and a different aspect ratio than the One+ 7.

Now I am not getting full HD(1080p) or HD in prime video(earlier it's available). Best option was about 2.35 gb/hr then, now it is 500mb/hr🙄
Device: Poco X2. HDR supported.

Best option says 1.82GB for me. Does that means I still have 1080p option? 🤔

The solution is through Google Play Store. Mine was also solved. I don't exactly remember what to do but it certainly is in Play Store

Came across some people on Twitter who were having the same problem with their Poco X2 & X3. Prime Video has all sorts of problem with DRM. My previous phone had Widevine L1, but Prime Video only played SD. I guess wait for some software update.

It was the same problem with my OP7. It showed L3 where as my device supports L1. And it is surely related to Play Store.
I don't think there would be a software update for that.
