This is a talktime balance provided for 28 days on smart recharge packed. Normal talktime balance only gets credited on talktime recharges like ₹10, ₹100, ₹1000 etc.

You can recharge 100 rupees for full talktime (main balance but no validity) and Rs 23 per month will automatic credit from your balance for 28 days validity. You can also recharge Rs 29 for 520 mb 4G data and 28 days validity and no deduction from main balance. (Airtel)

₹29 not available in all regions.

Airtel Chairman Mr. Sunil Mittal said that "My own view is India needs to be eventually at Rs 300 (ARPU), per month which means customers at low end need to pay about Rs 100 and higher end need to pay Rs 450-500, where they are consuming a lot"
The situation is dire, it's a matter of survival for everyone: Sunil Mittal on AGR - ET Telecom
In future Airtel may charge about Rs.100 per month for active sim.
I think they should remove Rs 79 plan. People who use their mobile just for incoming will recharge current 49 plan. And for outgoing rs 100 per month (85 talktime).. it's still cheaper than bsnl landline (i am not sure, can anyone tell me about bsnl landline plan? I had 10 years ago)

After vodafone exit both jio and airtel going to get hell lot of customers so prices should be affordable.... Greediness of airtel can't be controlled

I think they may remove Rs.49 and Rs.23 in future for gain in ARPU and continue Rs.79 on par with Jio phone minimum recharge of Rs.75

Then lower end customers will move to BSNL. They have to recharge just rs 74 twice a year as of now. I did 1 week ago. :cautious:
