Today received the following message from Airtel ...
"Outgoing service on Airtel no...... .stops on 14-Dec-18.In case of no recharge,Rs23 will deduct on 14-Dec-18 from Main Bal for 28day validity. To recharge, dial *121*51# "
.... the message says Rs 23/- will deduct automatically .....

Now the question arises ... is there a way we can stop this auto deduction and recharge only when we desire(free will) ..?
Only if balance is 22 or lower

My outgoing services were supposed to be stopped today afternoon as per the messages I received from Idea and My IDEA App.
But I am able to make outgoing calls without any problem, when I Call somebody the operator is prompting that my outgoing services were already expired and I have to recharge to continue the services but as soon as that warning is completed the call is getting connected.

This happened with my grandfather's airtel number too ,A month ago his airtel number was supposed to be expired of outgoing services according to messages he received from airtel and my airtel app ,on that day for sometime the outgoing services were stopped ,I then called airtel CC and asked them why I am unable to make calls instead of having Rs 200 as balance, They informed me it is a temporary glitch on their side ,some signal congestion thing and it will be taken care of.As soon as I got off that call the outgoing services started immediately.

Is there anyone here whose outgoing services were expired and unable to make calls ?

I had Rs 370 and received a similar message but i thought they will deduct the money from the balance and went outstation only to find Vodafone discontinuing the service. Only after returning i recharged for Rs 35 and got the service back. Very bad experience.

Did you call CC and enquired why your outgoing is stopped instead of having required balance to make a call ?

I went to their official showroom to upgrade my sim card to 4G (had this very old sim as a backup so never bothered to change) and they said Rs 35 is for service renewal (amount seems to be available for calls though i have no idea about the duration) and the balance is for making calls but without service the balance is just kept on account for no use.

This sounds crazy. Instead they can increase the duration of renewal so the required people can renew for 1 year (Rs 350 for a year and Rs 350 worth calls) and have outgoing. Its hard to keep renewing every month, need to find if they have long renewal packs or move to BSNL.

Another thing I noticed.
28days will be calculated from the date of recharge. If you are recharging before your due date, your validity for the previous pack will be forefieted but balance will be added.

Not able to recharge from main balance in my vodafone sim. The 35rs pack has expired few days back. I just checked and I am still able to make outgoing calls (and I am receiving the SMS messages for OTP etc) without any issues.

I will wait for the WARNING/ALERT SMS about recharge then.

I just cannot afford to lose the number as it is used for all my OTP transactions/proofs etc.

I think the telephone operators are just intimidating us into subscribing those monthly validity packs but in reality It all seems to be unnecessary.

My outgoing and incoming validity expired according to Idea ,but I am able to both make and receive calls, sms.
