New Delhi: The Union Cabinet on Friday (March 13) approved a relief package for the financially-troubled telecom companies such as Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel amid growing concerns over their ability to clear the AGR (adjusted gross revenue) related dues, people familiar with the matter told ET Now.

20 years?!! This just sets such a bad precedence that now anyone and everyone will ask for years to pay what they owe. And the regular middle and lower class people have to finance these companies through banks.

as predicted, govt to the rescue. the govt cant be strict r8 now owing to bad economy and investor confidence. also, it is important that telecom industry stay vibrant to implement 5g which inturn will be key for indias growth. threfore, this decision is sensible, although 20 years!!!!?
