Link Aadhaar, or your land will be ‘benami property': Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao

Ahead of the distribution of "pattadar" (land ownership) passbooks to owners from March 11, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said that they would have to be linked to their Aadhaar numbers failing which the lands would be considered benami.

He said that farmers who had been assigned lands should also be given these passbooks just like other farmers, an official release said.

The Telangana government, the release said, was introducing a system similar to banks to administer land records. It added that it was a first for any state in the country.

It aimed at facilitating immediate changes in land records whenever any transaction took place, officials said.

The Supreme Court has rejected a plea which sought extension of the deadline for seeding Aadhaar to a host of services, such as banking and mobile phones, beyond March 31 on the grounds that the hearing into a slew of petitions challenging the mandatory linkage of the 12-digit unique identity number would not be completed by the end of next month

All these are the tools for govt savings and to plug leak in pds. Not for people as people will get same ration what he used to get with ration card and now with Aadhaar card. But bad news for pds dealers

Not at all true still Ration officer are selling in black markets ration products nothing changed

That's because not all cards are linked with Aadhaar yet. Official fig 80%. Lpg leak almost stopped now thanks to Aadhaar.

Bro in my area all pds cards are linked with Aadhaar 100% same with lpg

But lpg delivery boys , as i said above pds officer all are selling the products in black market i witnesses that

A 12 digit card can't stop all this untill unless politician changed that's what I can say

How can dealer book lpg without informing customer and sell in black market ? If dealer book lpg and sell to market then subsidy money goes to customer bank account. Isn't it ?
