Breaking Apple may sell iPhones on subscription

The company could replace the traditional sales model with a new subscription model which could be called Apple Prime.
Apple will bundle its services like Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple Music and Apple Pay along with the iPhone for a monthly fee.
The speculation is based upon comments given by CEO Tim Cook during the recent Q4 earnings call.

Airtel, Vodafone Idea preparing for commercial NBIoT services; expand pilots in India

Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) are now preparing to launch commercial narrow-band IoT or NBIoT service in India in the coming months having brought various partners on board to develop a complete device and sensor ecosystem . Both telcos are in currently in various stages of pilot runs in different circles.

Airtel is now picking up around 20,000 sites in Karnataka and Chennai to conduct NB-IoT trials. “We'll be going with a pilot in a denser way rather than just a few trial sites..in a couple of months, we will be commercially rolling out,” Ajay Chitkara , Director and CEO, Airtel Business, told ET. Vodafone Idea Limited, on the other hand, has already conducted commercial pilot in eight cities in India, and is now hoping to win its first commercial NB-IoT deployment deal in the coming weeks.

Shopclues acquired by Singapore based e-commerce platform Qoo10

Three years after achieving unicorn status, online marketplace ShopClues that has been struggling to survive in the competitive e-commerce space in India, has merged with Singapore-headquartered e-commerce platform Qoo10 Pte Ltd, in an all-stock deal.

"ShopClues has received a very small cash infusion from (Singapore-based) Qoo10 Pte Ltd along with the full stock merger deal, to keep the company (ShopClues) afloat. Qoo10 has a strong presence in the Southeast Asia market, and their acquisition of ShopClues in India also in line with its proposed IPO plans, as it looks to grow its market base, as well as the seller base," said an investor in ShopClues asking not to be named.
