Seeking Help Upgrading from Regalia Gold to DCB Metal - Acceptance for Offline POS in India? (Seeking Suggestions)

Hi everyone,

I'm currently considering upgrading my HDFC Bank Regalia Gold credit card to the Diners Club Black (DCB) Metal variant. Before I proceed, I'd really appreciate some insights and suggestions from those who use or have experience with the DCB Metal, particularly regarding its acceptance in India.

My primary concern revolves around the card's network acceptance. While I'm aware of the SmartBuy portal benefits, my spending habits are such that I'll be utilizing very little in SmartBuy, vouchers, or other online-specific redemptions. My major spending is predominantly through offline POS (Point of Sale) transactions – basically, swiping at physical stores.

Therefore, my main question is:

Will the Diners Club network credit card be widely accepted on normal swiping machines (POS terminals) across various merchants in India?

Seeking Help What video codecs does the Airtel 4K IPTV Box Support?(For ex:HDR10/10+, Dolby Vision)

I have a budget TCL 43" QLED TV which supports a lot of codecs(including DV) surprisingly.But it lacks performance and lags a lot. Naturally id go for the firestick but I dont prefer firetv os and their bloated software. Unfortunately in India we dont have any good option like Onn box in the USA which only costs $20. Since the new iptv plan is the same cost as the 300mbps Airtel black plan we currently have i was wondering if its a good option to upgrade and go with the box since im a student on a budget.My use is primarily going to be Kodi and Plex use and these boxes look promising with their hardware(RTD1325 in my city), so im confident the performance will be great. Just curious weather they have good codec support.

Seeking Help Want To Close Airtel IPTV (DTH) Connection Permanently

I recently unbundled the DTH (Xstream IPTV) from my Airtel Black plan. Now, I want to completely close the DTH service. I only need the 10 Mbps internet plan (₹198) which is active right now with 15 days left.

📌 My requests:
  • Permanently surrender the DTH(IPTV) box.
  • Continue only with the 10 Mbps unlimited internet plan.
  • Use the ₹2000 balance (showing under DTH) to extend the validity of the internet plan.
  • After this balance is used up, please inform me how much I’ll have to pay monthly for the 10 Mbps plan.

Seeking Help Need Help in Airtel Black Internet + IPTV Plan Unbundling

Hi everyone,
I need your help or suggestions on something related to my Airtel Black connection.Recently, my 10 Mbps internet connection got installed under the Airtel Black plan. Along with it, they provided an Airtel Xstream IPTV box. But honestly, my mother (for whom this connection is mainly set up) is not comfortable using the IPTV box. She prefers regular internet and simple usage.
So here’s what I want to do:

  1. I only want to keep the 10 Mbps internet plan.
  2. I want to surrender the IPTV box.
  3. In exchange, I’d like Airtel to increase the validity of my internet plan (since I’m not using the IPTV service).
  4. Once the current wallet balance is exhausted, I’d also like to know how much I will need to pay monthly just for the 10 Mbps internet plan.

Has anyone here dealt with a similar situation with Airtel? Or do you know if this kind of adjustment is possible? Appreciate any advice or suggestions. 🙏

JioFiber Postpaid Billing Query

I came across a video where the guy was explaining the JioFiber postpaid billing cycle
I was surprised to learn that it's quite different from Airtel postpaid where the bill keeps generating continuously

In JioFiber postpaid they provide a 10-day grace period to pay the bill
If the bill isn't paid within that time they disconnect the service
Once the payment is made along with a late fee the service is reactivated

Is this true?

Seeking Help Please suggest for new Airtel xstream fiber connection options

I am planning to busy airtel Exstream fiber with Rs.699 plan 40 mb speed. Expected this connection to support my office wfh support and dth channel viewing .

Pls clarify and share your experience.

1.is it worth buy this fiber + dth combo? Wil it reduce net speed if dth running time.

2. Dth any package/plan available and we can choose while order. Since I am looking primary tamil,sports and kids channels.. Will they do any dth odu dish setup?

3.some forums mentioned as airtel fiber exstream provide , satelite based or internet based dth ... which one they give while install and which dth model is better without affecting the net speed ..

4. Is dth will run if fiber connection not working time (if satelite based dth option)

5. Any difference satelite based dth and internet based dth option, plans, channels wise...


Pls share Your experience and comments. It will helpful me.to choose right option.

Sony LIV not promoting India Tour of England on their social media handles. What might be the reason?

Hey guys, Is Sony LIV shutting down in India? There is literally no promotional material of IND Vs ENG series being posted on their social media handles. Only Sony Sports Network's social media handles are posting about it and there too there is no mention of Sony Liv. Very Strange.

Seeking Help Did Jio remove MAC filtering from their Jio Centrum Home Gateway

Did Jio remove MAC filtering from their Jio Centrum Home Gateway, previously it was available in Network -> Wireless -> Access points -> double/right click on the access point name and it would show multiple options one of which was MAC filtering but now it only shows one option of edit which is useless. Has anyone used the previously used this MAC filtering and can they confirm if they're able to see or not.

Seeking Help Weird issue with WhatsApp: Peoples' Status getting overlapped and Listened audio still marked Green

Not sure if this qualifies to be a post. I'm facing weird issues with WhatsApp on my phone. I'm using 16pro and for the last 1 week WhatsApp looks crazy for me.

When I view the status of my contacts, it is getting overlapped. Eg: If I open WhatsApp status of my contact A, view it and scroll to contact B, I see the same status image of A. Sometimes the status of B would be fine, but I see the same status of A when I scroll to the status of C.

Another example: if Contact A has posted more status images, and if I scroll through those, I will start seeing the same first image for the next statuses

Another issue is that the play button remains green when I finish listening to someone's voice message in WhatsApp. This is making me confused when I listen to voice messages in my work-related groups. Now, I can't find which ones I completed. Everything is green.


If anybody else is facing this issue, please let me know. If anybody got confused after reading my post, feel free to leave an Emoji :P

Seeking Help Shifting a Airtel Fiber Prepaid Connection

Following up on my previous post, I had further communication with Airtel regarding the internet connection for the government school. I was informed that the school's area is not eligible for a prepaid connection only postpaid connections are available there.

However, there is a nearby town that falls under the jurisdiction of LCO, and based on my discussion with him they can provide a prepaid Airtel Xstream Fiber connection.


My question is: If I get a new prepaid connection installed at at town and then relocate the connection to the school after a week, will it remain a prepaid connection, or will it be converted to postpaid upon relocation?
