Amazon Prime Membership available at Rs 1,249 for limited period of time

Amazon India has introduced a limited-time discount on its annual Prime Membership to expand its members base. The offer, available from November 14, 2023, to January 8, 2024, allows eligible users to subscribe for Rs 1,249 per year, down from the regular price of Rs 1,499.

This exclusive discount is targeted at non-Prime customers and those whose Prime memberships have lapsed more than 90 days ago. Eligible users will be greeted with an offer banner on their Amazon home page after logging in, enabling them to subscribe with a simple tap and a payment of Rs 1,250. Post the first year, the membership will automatically renew at the standard price of Rs 1,499 per year.

The Prime membership, known for its array of benefits, offers free one-day or two-day delivery on eligible products. Customers can also avail themselves of no-rush shipping on eligible addresses, coupled with a Rs 25 cashback. Additionally, free scheduled delivery and same-day delivery further enhance the convenience for Prime members.

Discounted morning delivery at Rs 50 and express delivery for Prime Now at Rs 49 to eligible addresses are also part of the membership perks and there is no minimum order value requirement for free standard delivery. Prime members gain exclusive early access to lightning deals and Prime-exclusive deals on Amazon.

Beyond the realm of swift and cost-effective deliveries, the Prime membership unlocks a world of entertainment. Subscribers enjoy free access to Prime Video with unlimited streaming, Prime Music, Prime Gaming, and Prime Reading. Moreover, those with a Prime account can avail themselves of a 5% cashback on shopping through the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card.

In a recent move, Amazon had also revised the price of its annual Prime Lite membership in India, reducing it from Rs 999 to Rs 799. However, it’s essential to note that the cheaper Prime Lite members do not get access to Prime Music, Prime Gaming, or Prime Reading. Furthermore, Prime Video access is limited to HD quality and only one device.
