Amazon increasing the cost of Prime Membership in India

The prices will be revised for all 3 tiers- monthly, quarterly and annual.

Amazon India is soon going to increase Prime Member prices in the country. According to Amazon’s website, the prices will be revised for all 3 tiers- monthly, quarterly and annual. 

The e-commerce brand will increase the monthly Prime membership price from current Rs 129 to Rs 179, 3-months or quarterly cost is going to be hiked from Rs 329 to Rs 459 and yearly membership will be available for Rs 1,499.

Prime membership allows Amazon customers to get free and fast delivery on eligible orders, exclusive, early access to deals & offers, OTT content through Prime Video, Ad-free music via Prime Music and allows users to read eligible eBooks, comics and more at no additional cost. 

The Amazon Prime membership was launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 499 in July 2016, later it was set to Rs 999 from October 2017. The company with time continued to expand offerings included in the membership and this is first price hike in the membership cost after 2017.

I don't think it's related to TRAI here most probably it's due to an increase in transportation cost due to rapid increase in fuel prices.
