Bharti Airtel has tied up with STL to build a modern optical fiber network in around 10 telecom circles across the country. STL made the announcement yesterday but the kept the identity of the 10 telecom circles unrevealed.

Airtel and STL will work closely to design and build a network to shape the future with STL being a long term partner of Airtel in optical connectivity space. The modern optical fiber network will enable Airtel to deliver a world-class experience through enhanced scalability, improved bandwidth, and reduced latency.

The future-ready network which will be densely fiberized will form the foundation for Airtel to offer many next-gen services such as 5G, FTTH, IoT, enterprise networks, and industry 4.0.

STL’s expertise and credentials in fiber rollouts along with the use of end-to end deployment solution – LEAD 360o will create multiple efficiencies, enable faster launch readiness, and enhanced network quality for Airtel.

Airtel had recently awarded ITI the mandate to roll out the backbone of its optical fiber network for expansion of its broadband connectivity in 8 cities for Fiber to the Home (FTTH) roll out across the country

Commenting on the partnership, Randeep Sekhon, CTO, Bharti Airtel said – “We are pleased to deepen our collaboration with STL to build a competent, future ready network.
