Airtel launches its 5G Plus services at Nagpur Airport

Airtel has launched its 5G Plus services at the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur. Customers with 5G smartphones can avail of Airtel 5G Plus services on their existing data plans until the rollout is widespread.

Indian telecom service provider Bharti Airtel has announced the launch of its 5G Plus services at the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur. Airtel 5G Plus services are also available at the Bengaluru Airport, Pune Lohegaon Airport, and the Varanasi Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport.

“I am thrilled to announce the beginning of a new chapter in Maharashtra as Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur, becomes the second airport in the state to have the Airtel 5G Plus services after Pune airport. I thank the authorities in Nagpur Airport for all the support extended to make this project live,” said George Mathen, CEO Maharashtra & Goa, Bharti Airtel.

Passengers at the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur, can enjoy the Airtel 5G Plus services on their 5G handsets across the airport, including arrival or departure terminals, lounges, boarding gates, migration and immigration counters, security areas, baggage claim belts, parking area, etc.

In Nagpur, the Airtel 5G Plus services are also currently available at Ganesh Path, Nehru Nagar, Subhash Nagar, Hanuman Nagar, CA road, and few other locations. To recall, Nagpur was one of the first eight cities in India to receive the Airtel 5G Plus services.

Airtel 5G Plus services are available in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, Varanasi, Panipat, Gurugram, and Guwahati. The company is rolling out the 5G services in a phased manner in the country.

According to the telco, Airtel 5G Plus will deliver up to 20 to 30 times faster speeds compared to the 4G technology. Airtel customers with 5G smartphones can avail of Airtel 5G Plus services on their existing data plans until the rollout is widespread.
