Last month, Airtel started to roll out its 5G services in eight cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, and Varanasi. Now, the company has launched the Airtel 5G Plus services in Gurugram and Panipat.
Airtel 5G Plus in Gurugram
According to Airtel, the 5G services are now live at DLF Cyber Hub, DLF Phase 2, MG Road, Rajiv Chowk, Iffco Chowk, Atlas Chowk, Udyog Vihar, Nirvana Country, Gurugram railway station, Civil lines, Ardee city, Huda city center, Gurugram National Highway and few other select locations. The telco plans to gradually expand the 5G services in other areas of Gurugram.
“I am thrilled to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus in Gurugram. Airtel customers can now experience ultrafast networks and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lightning the entire city which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to High-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos, and more,” said Nidhi Lauria, CEO, Bharti Airtel, Delhi – NCR.
Airtel 5G Plus in Panipat
Airtel 5G Plus services are live at Tehsil Camp, Barsat Road, IOCL, Devi Mandir, Bhawna Chowk, and a few other select locations. The telecom provider plans to expand its 5G services in other areas of the city in a phased manner.
Commenting on the launch, Tarun Virmani, COO, of Bharti Airtel, Haryana said, “I am thrilled to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus in Panipat. Airtel customers can now experience ultrafast network and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds.”
Airtel 5G Plus services use the 5G non-standalone (NSA) infrastructure that will fall back to the 4G network when required. The company plans to cover urban India by the end of 2023. Customers can avail of the Airtel 5G Plus services with their existing 4G data plans until the rollout is complete, and no SIM card change is required to enable 5G on their compatible devices.
