Acer has launched the Acer Nitro 5 laptop in India. It is India’s first gaming laptop with AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPUs, which are based on the Zen 4 architecture and offers up to eight cores and 16 threads of performance. The Acer Nitro 5 boasts a sleek and refined chassis that measures only 26.9mm in thickness and weighs around 2.5kg.
The laptop has a dual-fan cooling system with quad exhausts that keep the temperature under control during intensive gaming sessions. Acer Nitro 5 also has a MUX switch that allows users to manually enable or disable the integrated GPU for better battery life or performance. The laptop runs on the Windows 11 Home operating system out of the box and comes with a battery that lasts up to eight hours on a single charge.

The Acer Nitro 5 features a 15.6-inch full-HD+ (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS (In-Plane Switching) display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 144Hz refresh rate. The laptop is powered by either AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS hexa-core processor or AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS octa-core processor. It is paired with 8 GB of DDR5 RAM, which is expandable to 32GB. Further, it comes with 512GB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe storage. For graphics, the laptop is equipped with an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050 laptop GPU with 4GB of dedicated GDDR6 VRAM.
Acer Nitro 5 sports a 720p front-facing webcam that supports video capture at 30 fps with Temporal Noise Reduction technology. The laptop comes with a multi-gesture touchpad and RGB-backlit keyboard with a standard numeric keypad. Moreover, it packs a 57Wh battery that supports 180W charging.
Connectivity options include AMD PCIe Wi-Fi 6E wireless LAN, Bluetooth 5.2, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port with power-off charging, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, one USB Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an HDMI port. Acer Nitro 5 is equipped with 2W stereo speakers that support DTS:X Ultra sound enhancement. Lastly, the laptop measures 360.4 x 271.09 x 26.9mm and weighs around 2.5 kilograms.
Pricing and availability
The Acer Nitro 5 is priced at Rs. 79,990 for the base Ryzen 5 7535HS variant, while the top Ryzen 7 7735HS model costs Rs. 89,999. The laptop is available to purchase via the Acer exclusive stores, Acer e-store, and Flipkart in India.
