Zee5 the on-demand OTT video streaming service by Zee network has added Pakistani origin Urdu language shows on its platform. These shows were once being aired by Zee on Zindagi channel which telecasted Pakistani content along with curated Brazilian, Turkish and Korean shows dubbed in Hindi. In 2017 Zee had discontinued Zindagi channel from its linear Tv channel lineup and converted it to an online exclusive channel by rebranding it to Zindagi Digital.
Zindagi digital’s Pakistani shows were earlier available exclusively on Ozee which later transitioned into Zee5. In the aftermath of the Uri attacks, Zee had decided to pull down all Pakistani content from its platform and continue with only Turkish, Korean, and Brazilian content.
Now Zee has decided to add back the Pakistani shows under the Premium subscription-based catalog. The Pakistani shows currently available on the platform include titles like Aunn Zara, Shehr-e-Zaat, Noorpur ki Rani, Main Abdul Qadir Hoon, Mastana Mahi, and Badi Aapa.
Pakistani shows from Hum Tv and Ary Digital networks are currently also available to stream on-demand on Eros Now and Times Network owned MX player platforms. While both the network shows are free to stream on MX player, only Hum Tv shows are free on Eros Now while Ary Digital shows are available on premium subscription.
