Vodafone Idea shakes up Nominee Directors on Vodafone Group request

Vodafone Idea Limited yesterday in a regulatory filing notified the change in Nominee Directors from Vodafone Group, one of the promoter shareholders of the company upon receipt of request for change. The Board of Directors of the company have taken note of resignations of existing Nominee Directors Vivek Badrinath and Thomas Reisten from the Board of the company with immediate effect.

VIL meanwhile from 24th February 2021 has appointed Sunil Sood and Diego Massidda as Additional Director, Non-Executive and Non-Independent of the Board of the Company based on the recommendation of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee.

Sunil Sood is of Indian nationality having started his journey with the Vodafone Group in 200 and over the years held several positions including MD & CEO for Vodafone India Ltd.

Diego Massidda meanwhile is of Italian nationality having 18 years of experience in telecommunications at CEO level, managing wireline, TV and wireline business prior to moving to the current position of CEO of Vodafone Partner Markets.
