Tata Neu to launch for all users on April 7

Tata Group’s much anticipated ‘super app’ Tata Neu is finally opening its gates for everyone on Thursday, April 7. In the past few months, this app was under testing and available exclusively only to Tata employees. 

Tata Neu is an ‘all-in-one’ kind of app that brings all Tata Group digital services from groceries to electronics and financial to pharmaceuticals in one place. Until now it was accessible only with a Tata corporate email ID or with a referral code from a Tata Neu user. 

To further restrict the public availability of this app before launch, the company limited referrals from each user to 5 persons. “Find everything from groceries to gadgets and getaways on Tata Neu. Pay instantly for any of your online and in-store purchases, utility bills & more, using Tata Pay,” reads the Play Store description of Tata Neu. 

The super app includes Tata Play for Entertainment, Tata 1mg for pharmacy, Bigbasket for groceries, Croma for electronics, booking hotels at Taj Group properties, flight tickets from AirAsia India, Air India and apparel from Westside. 

It is aimed at making existing Tata Group customers’ experience simpler and at the same time offering them more Tata-owned services to discover and use. The company will also give rewards on transactions made via the app in the form of Tata NeuCoins. 

Minimum 5% NeuCoins can be earned by placing orders via Tata Neu app and they can be redeemed across all services available in the app. Value of 1 NeuCoin = Rs 1. Furthermore, Tata Neu also comes with ‘Tata Pay’ that facilitates money transfers through a range of options. 

Tata Pay is a competitor to other payment services like Google Pay and Paytm. Using that, users can make transactions across multiple Tata apps, websites and physical stores using NeuCoins, cards, UPI, EMI, etc. Through Tata Pay UPI, users can instantly send or receive money from anyone.
