Telecom operator Reliance Jio has introduced three new postpaid plans priced at Rs 249, Rs 299, and Rs 349 for JioFi 4G wireless hotspot. These plans are for small businesses and users have to submit a form with their details to subscribe.

The Rs 249 plan offers 30GB of high-speed data, the Rs 299 pack gives 40GB monthly data and the Rs 349 plan provides 50GB of data. Being a postpaid plan, they come with a calendar month validity.

Unlike regular mobile recharge packs, none of these postpaid plans includes any voice or SMS benefits. After exhaustion of the monthly high-speed data allowance, the speed will be reduced to 64Kbps.

Limitations

The JioFi postpaid plans are exclusively for small businesses. The JioFi devices under these plans are offered for free on a “use and return” basis with an 18 months lock-in period, which means customers can’t change their plan after activation for 18 consecutive months.

Minimum order of 200 JioFi devices needs to be placed to avail benefits of these plans. Interested businesses have to submit a form on Jio’s website mentioning their details such as customer’s name, company name, contact information and address to buy devices under this scheme.

Specifications

The JioFi hotspot is capable of speeds up to 150Mbps and can connect 10 different devices at a time through WiFi and 1 via USB tethering. It supports a single Jio nano sim card. It has a 2,300mAh battery that claims to deliver 5-6 hours of general web browsing, a micro-USB port for connectivity and a microSD card slot.
