Reliance Jio launches ‘JioPhone 2021 Offer’ to move closer to a ‘2G-Mukt Bharat’

Reliance Jio today announced the launch of ‘JioPhone 2021 Offer’ in a bid to move India close to a 2G-Mukt Bharat. JioPhone since its launch has upgraded more than 100 million users onto the JioPhone platform. India continues to have 300 million mobile subscribers in the 2G era. Jio in a bid to accelerate the ‘2G-Mukt Bharat’ vision has launched the offer keeping affordability in mind.

Reliance Jio noted that existing feature phone users were forced to pay Rs 1.2 to Rs 1.5 for every minute of voice call whereas affluent smartphone users enjoy free voice calls. 2G era feature phone users have to mop up Rs 45 – Rs 50 every month to simply keep their connection active with basic telecom services without any access to Internet.

As part of ‘JioPhone 2021 Offer’, Reliance Jio customers can get a new JioPhone device and 24 months of unlimited service for just Rs 1999 wherein Jio will offer unlimited voice calls, 2GB high speed unlimited data every month at Rs 1999 without any need for recharge for 2 years.

For those wanting just 12 months unlimited service JioPhone 2021 Offer will be available at Rs 1499 wherein Jio will offer unlimited voice calls, 2GB high speed unlimited data every month without any need for recharge for 1 year.

Reliance Jio noted that customers need to pay 2.5x on other networks for the same benefit with 2 year service customers needed to pay Rs 2,500 on other networks.

Existing JioPhone users meanwhile can avail 12 months unlimited service for just Rs 749 wherein Jio will offer unlimited voice calls, 2GB high speed unlimited data every month with no need for recharge for 1 year.

JioPhone 2021 offer will be available from 1st March across Reliance Retail and Jio retailers.
