India’s one of the leading broadband service providers, Reliance Jio, has introduced a new ownership transfer feature for its JioFiber customers. This new functionality allows JioFiber subscribers to seamlessly transfer their ownership of JioFiber connection to another family member or a new owner.
To initiate the ownership transfer request, users are required to download the MyJio app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Once the app is installed, they can sign in using their JioFiber Landline Number or Registered Mobile Number (RMN). After successful sign-in, users need to select their JioFiber connection and open the account settings from the sidebar menu. Then, they can navigate to the Service settings menu and select the Ownership transfer option.
After selecting the Ownership transfer option, users need to verify their existing mobile number to place a request. This can be any Jio or non-Jio number. Following this, they need to verify a family member as the new owner. For this step, proof of identity and address is required. The next step involves sharing the new owner’s photo and submitting the request. Users can either take a new photograph or upload one from their gallery. Lastly, they need to verify local reference documents. If the new owner resides in a different region, local reference documents would be required.
While Reliance Jio already offers a JioFiber relocation service, the introduction of the new ownership transfer feature is a significant step towards enhancing user experience and providing flexibility to JioFiber customers. It simplifies the process of transferring ownership, making it a hassle-free experience for the users.
