Reliance Jio’s download speed rose to 16.8 Mbps in March 2021 after nosediving in February 2021 to 15.4 Mbps, according to the latest monthly trend of data speed samples released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. The telecom service provider continued to lead in terms of download speed with consistent double digit download speeds in the few months as per TRAI data.

Reliance Jio’s download speed rose from 15.4 Mbps in the trailing month to 16.8 Mbps in March. Vodafone India continued at second position behind Reliance Jio with 7.2 Mbps download speed, down from 9.2 Mbps download speed in the trailing month. Idea Cellular was a distant third from Reliance Jio with download speeds of 6.7 Mbps in March, down from 8 Mbps in the trailing month. Airtel came last with 5.4 Mbps download speed, down from 7.1. Mbps download speed in the trailing month.

Upload Data Speeds of TSPs
Vodafone India continued its leadership in terms of upload speeds with 7.2 Mbps upload speed in March remaining unchanged from the trailing month. Idea Cellular was behind Vodafone India with 6.8 Mbps upload speed in March, up from 6.4 Mbps upload speed in the trailing month. Airtel was a distant third from Vodafone India with 4.2 Mbps upload speed, up from 4.1 Mbps upload speed in the trailing quarter. Reliance Jio came out at the bottom with 3.9 Mbps upload speed, up from 3.6 Mbps upload speed in the trailing quarter.
