The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology (2020-21) will be sitting tomorrow to hear the views of the representatives of Reliance Jio Infocomm, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea on the preparedness of India for 5G.
The sitting of the committee was notified last week by the Lok Sabha Secretariat. The committee will hear the representatives tomorrow for a duration of 60 minutes from 4 PM to 5 PM.
This will be followed by the evidence of the representatives of the Ministry of Communications (Department of Telecommunications) and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on the subject of India’s preparedness for 5G which will commence 5 PM onwards.
The Standing Committee is headed by Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor which has around 20 members from the Lok Sabha and 10 from the Rajya Sabha.
