Airtel 5G Plus

Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel has launched its 5G Plus services in Kolkata, West Bengal. Airtel 5G Plus services in West Bengal are already available in Haldia, Ranaghat, Contai, Krishnanagar, Puruliya, Bongaon, Bankura, Raniganj, and Kolaghat.

“I am delighted to announce the rollout of Airtel 5G Plus in Kolkata in addition to Haldia, Ranaghat, Contai, Krishnanagar, Puruliya, Bongaon, Bankura, Raniganj, Kolaghat, and more. Airtel customers in these twenty-six cities can now experience the power of ultrafast 5G networks and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up the entire city, which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to high-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos, and more,” said Ayan Sarkar, CEO – West Bengal, Bharti Airtel.

According to the company, Airtel 5G Plus services will be available to customers in a phased manner as it continues to construct its network and complete the rollout. Moreover, Airtel will augment its network making its services available to cities across the state in due course.

Airtel customers with 5G smartphones can avail of the 5G Plus services at no additional cost until the rollout is more widespread. Since the telco removed 5G data capping on most of its plans, Airtel customers can now enjoy 5G Plus services without worrying about exhausting mobile data or paying additional charges. Airtel 5G Plus services promise to offer up to 20-30 times faster speeds than current 4G technology, along with a better voice experience.
