Oppo has launched its latest mid-range smartphone the Oppo A76 in Malaysia. This is the company’s first A-series smartphone in the country and it is a successor to the Oppo A74 which was unveiled in April last year. The new handset has a Snapdragon processor, large HD+ screen and big battery with fast charging support.

Oppo A76 features a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 × 1612 pixels. It has a 90Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner for the front selfie camera. This phone boots on ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.
Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor paired with Adreno 610 GPU. This chipset is built on a 6nm fabrication process. There is 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage and 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM along with an additional 5GB of Virtual RAM. The storage is expandable via a microSD card.
In terms of optics, there is a dual rear camera setup and a LED flash. The primary camera on this device is a 13MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, on the front, you get an 8MP shooter.
The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W VOOC charging. The fingerprint sensor is side-mounted. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack.
Pricing and Availability
The Oppo A76 is available only in a single storage configuration of 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage for RM 899 (about Rs 16,000). It comes in two colour options – Glowing Black and Glowing Blue. This sale for this handset has already begun in Malaysia and Oppo may launch it soon in Indonesia.
