Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has announced that its OnePlus 5G devices are now compatible with 5G services in India, including Jio True 5G and Airtel 5G Plus services. The company also said that it conducted testing of its 5G devices on the Vodafone Idea (Vi) 5G network in New Delhi, and all OnePlus 5G devices will support it when the Vi 5G services are made available in the country.
“We are thrilled to join hands with the leading telecom players of India to bring the transformational 5G technology to our India community. We are positive that our future-ready smartphones, combined with superior 5G network capabilities offered by our telecom partners, would empower our users with seamless technology. And it would help them achieve a lot more through their daily lives,” said Navnit Nakra, OnePlus India CEO and Head of India region, OnePlus India.
To recall, OnePlus launched its first 5G smartphone in India in 2020. Since then, every OnePlus 5G devices are now compatible with 5G services in India, including 8, 8 Pro, 8T, 9, 9 Pro, 9R, 9RT, 10 Pro, 10R, 10T, Nord, Nord 2, Nord 2T, Nord CE, Nord CE 2, and Nord CE 2 Lite.
Recently, at India Mobile Congress (IMC) in Delhi, OnePlus showcased the capabilities of 5G technology in collaboration with Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vi.
