Netplus broadband, a subsidiary of Fastway group which has services in 400+ cities in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir has launched new add-on plans which offer bundled subscriptions to OTT services.
The ISP offers basic broadband plans priced at Rs 499 which provides unlimited internet at 40 Mbps, Rs 599 for 70 Mbps and Rs 699 for 100 Mbps access. These basic plans do not come with bundled OTT subscriptions but the user can now opt for these add-on plans which will provide access to OTT services. There are two variants, one priced at Rs 99 which gives access to 10 OTT services while the other priced at Rs 199 gives access to 14 OTT subscriptions.
This is a value proposition with almost 50% savings as compared to the market offerings. We have launched one of the most affordable plans for our valued users ahead of the most awaited festive season. Our idea behind this initiative was to provide access to unlimited streaming at highly competitive prices.
S. Gurdeep Singh, Chairman, Jujhar Group, said in a statement.
Subscribers on the Rs 999 plan get access to premium OTT subscriptions like Sony Liv, Zee5, Voot Select, Discovery+, Epic ON, Hungama Play, Eros Now, MX gold, etc. While subscribers on the Rs 1499 plan or higher get access to Amazon Prime Video along with the other OTT services.
Market leaders in the home broadband market like Reliance Jio Fiber and Airtel Xstream fiber are both providing access to bundled OTT services with their respective home broadband plans along with unlimited landline voice calling across all states in the country. This is compelling the smaller players to up their game to be able to sustain the competition from these giants.
