Reliance Jio has stepped up its pace of 5G network expansion with the launch of Jio True 5G service in 10 more cities. The latest announcement comes just a couple of days after the company began its 5G service in select cities of Rajasthan.
Agra, Kanpur, Meerut, Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), Tirupati, Nellore (Andhra Pradesh), Kozhikode, Thrissur (Kerala), Nagpur, and Ahmednagar (Maharashtra) are the newest cities where residents will get Jio 5G signals. According to Jio, it is the only operator to launch 5G services in the majority of these cities.
Similar to other locations, Jio users in these cities having eligible 5G capable smartphones and software will be invited to take advantage of the Jio Welcome Offer, which includes unlimited data at speeds of up to 1 Gbps without any data caps at no extra cost.
Commenting on the occasion, a Jio Spokesperson said, “We are proud to rollout Jio True 5G services in these 10 cities across 4 states. We have stepped up the speed and intensity of True 5G rollout across the nation because we want every Jio user to enjoy the transformational benefits of Jio True 5G technology in the new year 2023.”
Highlighting and appreciating its good relations with local governments, Reliance Jio added in its press, “We are grateful to the State Governments of Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Maharashtra for their continuous support in our quest to digitize the region.”
