India’s leading telecom service provider Reliance Jio today announced the launch of ‘Gaming Masters’ in association with Mediatek targeted at new and existing online gaming enthusiasts in India. The eSports event is tipped to be the biggest online-gaming tournament on the JioGames platform coming just after the successful completion of JioGames’ first online gaming event – ‘India ka Gaming Champion‘.
The 70-day eSports tournament is a grassroot undertaking to revolutionize online gaming that will test the gamer’s skill, teamwork, and endurance in virtual gaming arena. The entire tournament will be broadcasted LIVE on JioTV HD eSports channel and YouTube with gamers vying for a prize pool of Rs 12,50,000. The tournament will feature Garena’s self-developed hit battle royale title, FreeFire that is being made available to Jio and non-Jio users through the JioGames platform.
The 70-day tournament kicks off on 13th January 2021 and will run till 7th March 2021 with the registrations starting on 29th December 2020 and ending on 9th January 2021. The registration is open to both Jio and non-Jio users who can register on the dedicated microsite for eSports on JioGames website. There is no registration or participation fee.
