Video streaming saw a growth of 12% in Week 4 of disruption caused by the coronavirus. In Metro premium users saw a growth of 23%. Video streaming had a share of 14% in the time spent on various activities on the smartphone. Smartphone users roughly spent 3 hours 59 mins on VOD according BARC Nielsen. Nielsen has ranked the content based on the order of gross consumption. 12 out of 15 spots were claimed by Disney+Hotstar with Netflix, Voot, and Prime Video taking the other three spots.
Money Heist on Netflix was the most grossed OTT content. Aaj Tak on Disney+Hotstar followed it at 2nd position. Mahabharat stood at 3rd position followed by ABP News and ABP Ananda at the 4th and 5th positions respectively.
