Now that they have reduced the annual subscription price to Rs.499 it seems worth it for the original content. Subscribed to the annual pack today.

Only drawback you will find is:

No ad free experience even for premium subscription holders.
Mediocre app, crashes once in a while

No ads even after paying is kind of a norm in India. Sadly.
Movie theaters, DTH TV to name a few. I remember back in the day they used to have ads on audio CDs attached to songs! Ujala, Nirma, etc. etc :D

For the first time I subscribed 99 but totally disappointed

No Subtitles on movies like Padman & Toilet,

Certain Blockbuster Tamil movies like Mersal has only 576 P at least 720 P needed

Live TV quality says 772P as higher quality on SD channels but that's also not up to the mark compared to Airtel DTH or Jio TV,

Lucky me confused between 499 & 99 finally made up my mind to first try and before Aug 15th if it's good then subscribe 499 again now it's not the best so 2 months is more than enough to watch certain contents and later somewhere down the year or Next year when movies like 2.0 released will subscribe a monthly pack again and catch up with some more contents.

Totally agreed. They don't have 1080p resolution like Hotstar or other premium services are having.

I have not subscribed to Zee5 but my Ditto TV subscription got converted. I paid Rs. 99 for a year of Ditto TV subscription and now having a year of Zee5 subscription. This way i got to know how awful Zee5 premium subscription is. So next year (when my subscription expires) i won't be renewing subscription.

I paid to get ad free experience with serial videos streaming but they give ad free only for Zee5 original contents only. We pay already for premium plan already then why Zee5 showing ads to us and monetizing further! Too much greedy Zee company is.

Yes I didn't know that they would still show ads after subscription, that's completely insane. I noticed it and have tweeted on their page and to the customer service team to point out that it is unacceptable. Basically only the premium content gets unlocked with the subscription whereas the free content still shows ads.

App is exiting automatically within few seconds in MI Android box.. not sure what to do, even after force stopping, reinstall issue persists..
