WWE SMACK DOWN 18/12/205 - Results

New WWE Champion Roman Reigns kicks the show off, talking about how great Monday night was. Sheamus cuts him off and makes a joke about Reigns’ holding the title longer than at Survivor Series, and that he’ll get his title back soon. Sheamus talks about the way Reigns won the title and says he’s banned from the arena until further notice. Security guards come out to make Reigns leave, but he beats them all up.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Ryback
– This was a non-title match. The League of Nations (Rusev, Sheamus and King Barrett) interferes and Alberto won with a Cross Armbreaker. The League beat Ryback up some more after the bell.

– Tyler Breeze cut a promo that was interrupted by Goldust

Titus O’Neil defeated Tyler Breeze
– Titus won with Clash of the Titus. Goldust ended up walking out to Breeze’s VIP Section at ringside and distracted Breeze, setting Titus up to get the win.

The Lucha Dragons defeated The New Day
– Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods worked for The New Day in a non-title match. Kalisto ended up getting the win by rolling Kofi up in the corner.

Becky Lynch defeated Brie Bella by submission
– Charlotte ended up tripping Brie behind the referee’s back to set up the win for Becky.

After they head backstage, Becky accuses Charlotte of not trusting she [Becky] can win on her own.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Kevin Owens via disqualification
– The end sequence saw both men fight to the floor, and Owens ended up throwing Dolph into the ring steps. Owens tried to powerbomb him onto the steps, but Dean Ambrose made the save. Ambrose got a few shots in before Owens ran away, but he returned and ended up kicking Dolph in the face as he was being helped up. Ambrose then chased Owens away and checked on Dolph, but he ended up getting laid out and Owens laughed as the show ended.

WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day cut a New Year’s Eve themed promo, but they are interrupted by The Dudley Boyz. Kalisto is then out next, and it ends up turning into a six man tag team match.

The Dudley Boyz & Kalisto defeated The New Day

Tyler Breeze defeated Goldust
– Breeze and Summer Rae apparently split up as part of a New Year’s resolution

The Wyatt Family’s Luke Harper and Braun Strowman defeated The Usos

Brie Bella and Alicia Fox defeated Naomi and Tamina Snuka

Dolph Ziggler defeated Bo Dallas

Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose defeated Sheamus & Kevin Owens via disqualification
– After the match, Reigns prevented Owens from hitting a powerbomb through the announcer’s table with a Superman punch

The following results are this week’s WWE Smackdown TV taping results from tonight’s WWE tapings in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Dean Ambrose starts off the show by saying he wants to face Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble in a Last Man Standing match. Sheamus cuts him off and they almost get into a fight, stemming from RAW, but Owens ends up walking out and accepting the fight. Owens and Sheamus then sneak attack Ambrose, but Neville runs out for the save.

The Dudley Boyz defeat Luke Harper and Eric Rowan in a tables match
– After the match, Braun Strowman attacked the Dudleys, and threw both of them threw a couple of tables.

Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas
defeated Goldust, Jack Swagger, Zack Ryder & Damien Sandow

Alberto Del Rio defeated Kalisto to win the United States Championship
– Alberto Del Rio made Kalisto tap out after Wade Barrett helped him

Becky Lynch defeats Brie Bella via submission

Dean Ambrose & Neville vs. Kevin Owens & Sheamus
– The match is called a no contest after both teams ended up brawling at ringside. The night ends with Neville and Ambrose laying Owens out with their finshers.

Chris Jericho cuts a promo about the Royal Rumble to start the show, but WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day cut him off and have a moment for their broken trombone.
The Usos and Dolph Ziggler defeated The New Day
– The Usos / Ziggler win it with a triple-team superkick
Becky Lynch defeated Alicia Fox
– Becky wins by submission with Dis-Arm Her
The Miz welcomes Kevin Owens and WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose to Miz TV, and they plug their Last Man Standing match at Sunday’s WWE Royal Rumble PPV. Things break down and Ambrose hits Miz with Dirty Deeds, then Owens ends up hitting a pop-up powerbomb to close out the segment. Bray Wyatt defeated Ryback
Titus O’Neil defeated Stardust
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns defeated The League of Nations via disqualification
– All four members of the League competed against Reigns in a 4-on-1 handicap match, then The Usos ran down to make the save after Reigns was attacked. Following this, the Wyatt Family appeared and attacked everyone else, standing tall as the show came to a close.

WWE Smackdown spoilers: Chris Jericho/Dean Ambrose/Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt/Luke Harper/Erick Rowan.
- New Day opened the show. They ran down The Rock because he didn't hold any championships. The Miz came out and agreed with them, and said Rock had disrespected him, and he's a fellow movie star. The Usos came out and ran down Miz. The New Day said that the Usos were riding Cousin Dewey's coattails. Then Titus O'Neil & Dolph Ziggler came out and we had a match.
- Usos & Ziggler & O'Neil beat WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day & Miz. O'Neil pinned Miz with Clash of the Titus.
- U.S. Champion Kalisto beat Neville to retain. Good match with a Salida del Sol finish.
- Chris Jericho was out for the Highlight Reel. He talked about his match with Styles on Raw and said had two of the Fast Lane main event participants on the show. Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns came out. Ambrose was cheered and Reigns had a mixed reaction. Reigns said how he and Ambrose started their career in a warehouse in Tampa. (Didn't Ambrose start in Cincinnati?) Jericho tried to stir things up. They both put over that Brock Lesnar was a monster. Reigns told Ambrose that he's never been able to beat him before so good luck. The Wyatts then came out and talked about what they did to Lesnar in the Rumble. Wyatt challenged all three to a six-man tag for the main event.
- A.J. Styles beat Curtis Axel with the Styles Clashin a short match even though the other Social Outcasts interfered.
- Divas Champion Charlotte beat Natalya in a non-title match. Quick match. Becky Lynch made the save when Charlotte attacked Natalya after the match.
- Sasha Banks, Tamina and Naomiwere backstage taking about Banks going after the title. They teased the idea they may be splitting up down the line.
- R-Truth and Goldust did a comedy segment
- Chris Jericho & Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns beat Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper & Erick Rowan via DQ. Strowman interfered. The Wyatts were beating up on the faces until Big Show came out. They all beat down Show until Jericho & Ambrose & Reigns recovered and cleaned house.

* Roman Reigns def. Rusev via DQ when Alberto Del Rio interfered. Dean Ambrose ran out and made the save for Reigns after the match.
* WWE United States Champion Kalisto def. Kevin Owens. Dolph Ziggler got involved after joining commentary at ringside. Owens attacked both after the match.
* Ryback def. Erick Rowan.
* AJ Styles def. The Miz. After the match, Chris Jericho challenged Styles to a match.
* WWE Divas Champion Charlotte def. Alicia Fox.
* WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day def. The Social Outcasts.

WWE taped the February 11th, 2016 SmackDown episode from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. Here are full WWE SmackDown spoilers.

Dark Match

* Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady defeated local wrestlers Randy “The Catch” Hawkins and Khash. The WWE NXT Superstars cut a promo before the match and got a big pop. Carmella was with them.

WWE SmackDown

* SmackDown kicks off with Chris Jericho coming to the ring for a promo to hype his match with AJ Styles.

* Chris Jericho vs. AJ Styles ends when the Social Outcasts come out to interrupt. This leads to a tag match.

* Styles and Jericho defeated Curtis Axel and Adam Rose. After the match, Jericho left Styles laying with a Codebreaker. Jericho said he will see AJ later.

* They air a clip of Daniel Bryan’s retirement and the RAW contract signing as tables are brought out and put around the ring.

* The Dudley Boyz come out in street clothes and Bubba Ray Dudley is looking more like Bully Ray than before. They cut promos with tables surrounding the ring and we see a replay of them turning on The Usos at RAW. Bubba cuts a big heel promo and rips Daniel Bryan for retiring, leading to a huge “yes!” chant. “Save the tables” comes back as Bubba says they are doing away with tables, no more tables for the fans.

* Segment with Goldust trying to recruit R-Truth again.

* Sasha Banks vs. Naomi with Becky Lynch on commentary is next. Becky and Tamina Snuka end up getting into it at ringside. Tamina lays her out. Sasha takes Tamina’s head off with a big kick and makes Naomi tap with the Banks Statement.

* Styles cuts a backstage promo on Jericho.

* Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family came to the ring for a promo. Wyatt talked about how they were here to take out the “titans” of WWE. He rolled his eyes in the back of his head like The Undertaker would do. Real creepy promo, not as bad as the typical Wyatt ramblings.

* Black History Month video for The Junkyard Dog.

* Neville, Sin Cara and WWE United States Champion Kalisto defeated Stardust and The Ascension with a nice triple-finisher spot.

* Another Daniel Bryan video.

* Chris Jericho vs. AJ Styles is the main event. The crowd was hot for both of them and the match was very good. Styles turned the Walls of Jericho into the Calf Crusher at one point. He also went for a Styles Clash but Jericho got the win clean with a Codebreaker. SmackDown ends with Jericho celebrating to a big pop.

Dark Match

* Darren Young defeated Fandango in what was said to be a good match.

WWE SmackDown

* Jerry Lawler, Michael Cole and Byron Saxton are out for commentary. No Mauro Ranallo.

* Sheamus, Rusev and Alberto Del Rio defeated WWE United States Champion Kalisto, Sin Cara and Dolph Ziggler. WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens was on commentary and distracted Ziggler, leading to the pin.

* Sasha Banks defeated Tamina Snuka by submission with a Banks Statement. After the match, Tamina and Naomi attacked Sasha but Becky Lynch made the save.

* Chris Jericho defeated The Miz by submission with Walls of Jericho. After the match, AJ Styles comes out. Jericho accepts Styles’ challenge for a match at WWE Fastlane.

* WWE Divas Champion Charlotte defeated Natalya with the Figure Eight in a non-title match. After, Brie Bella comes out and they brawl for a minute or two.

* Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose vs. The Dudley Boyz is the main event.

* Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose defeated The Dudley Boyz is the main event, by disqualification when Brock Lesnar attacked Ambrose. Paul Heyman also came out. Lesnar hit Ambrose and Reigns with German suplexes. Reigns tried to spear Lesnar but accidentally hit Ambrose. Ambrose then tried to hit Dirty Deeds on Reigns but Reigns countered and hit a Samoan Drop. Lesnar hit a F5 on Reigns. Triple H’s music hit and out came the WWE World Heavyweight Champion to the stage. Triple H stares Lesnar down as SmackDown ends.
