Batting Collapse - This is the First and most important problem in overseas tour(in seaming conditions) , bowling has not been any big issue, but in batting apart from Few batsman like Vk or Pujara, if we look at previous overseas tour in seaming conditions like Eng or Nz, our Batting has been very inconsistent.Rahane needs to score runs more 'Consistently' as a batsman along with good starts required from Rohit And Gill at top.
Conceding Runs From Tail - This is a very common problem, let it be Kyle Jameison, Sam Curran or even at times Southee, Wagner in nz tour etc etc many times it has happened that when We get the opponent's top order out cheaply after that when everyone gets relaxed and then lower order scores runs and the efforts put on to get the top order out cheaply goes In Vain
Team Selection - This too has costed lots of Matches in past(most recent example of Adelaide test in Australia where India played with 11 right handers inclduing Out of form Shaw) , so hopefully the best playing 11 is selected as per the conditions and opponent.
