best media player for windows 10?
inbuilt Film and TV app not able to play few files.
tried KMP but don't know why audio started distorting . will not use VLC.
used Kodi(earlier XBMC) but not able to minimize the player.
so any better suggestion?

Film and TV is the old name, now it's Movies and TV

Btw, which file type aren't working? And what error message do you get?

its still Films and TV for me, whats your version? I checked store NO update is there though

and tried playing this. video running but no audio. no specific error code showing. only no Audio.

M&T app requires few video extensions from microsoft store to work properly, try to install these apps and then see. Btw, you need to see the audio codec type of that video. To see codec info of that file, run that file in VLC and then press ctrl + J. It'll show codec info of that file.

and currently I dont have vlc , so don't know the codec but that HEVC codec is costing 54/-.
a basic codec should be comes along with OS. its a basic need I think.

It's because of country, your Microsoft store country is set to India, while mine is set to US.

so don't know the codec but that HEVC codec is costing 54/-.

First check whether you can play H.265 files. If not, then you need the codec. There are two H.265 codec on MS store, one is free and other is paid. But both are same file. I gave you the free download link.

It is DTS-MA (DTS - Master Audio), Movies & TV can't play that file. You'll need third party apps to play or Windows Media Player with codec pack to play that file.

Use PotPlayer, its free of cost and it is clean without any advertisements and can play any file.

Can anyone help me with a strange issue on server Excel files of mine as the file loads in about 4-5 mins on Windows 10 whereas the same file on the same server opens within few sec on Windows 7. Really missing the class on Windows 7.

no problem, I've set it to US, and you can set back to India anytime.
