Ojha ecstatic over achievement

Pragyan Ojha ran towards the umpires and sought the red cherry before walking away for lunch. And as he returned with the memento, V.V.S. Laxman waited for him near the boundary rope and patted Ojha on the shoulder.

The Hyderabad duo have had a memorable Test so far at the Eden Gardens, and for Ojha, Wednesday was more special as he became the quickest among Indian left-arm spinners to bag 50 wickets in the longer version.

He went past Salim Durrani, who made it in 14 Tests. Ojha currently has 53 wickets.

Ojha, who achieved the feat in his 13th Test, said: “Never in my wildest imagination did I think I could do this. It is not just about the straighter one and turn.
