I thought the same and waited for almost a year... Got fed up and ported... Still they're not merged...

Voafone Idea posts ₹ 5,005 cr loss in Q3

Total income of Vodafone Idea stood at ₹ 11,982.8 core during the reported quarter. The income increased by 52 per cent compared to ₹ 7,878.6 crore in the previous July-September quarter.

i can confirm that Voda still has not introduced Plan queue like we have in Jio. They just replace the previous plan. So don't recharge unless ur plan expire.
